Family & Youth Zone Volunteer Opportunity
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver a positive and welcoming
experience for guests in the Pride Family & Youth Zone on Saturday, June
13. In this role, you’ll serve as a friendly and helpful presence: greeting
visitors, engaging with families and youth, and providing general information about
the space and activities.
Volunteers will help create an inclusive, fun, and safe environment by interacting with guests, assisting with activities, and answering questions. You’ll also support the overall flow of the space by helping with directions, keeping the area organized, and encouraging participation in activities and programs.
Saturday, June 13, Shift Times:
- 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
We are looking for 2 volunteers per shift, you’ll be accompanied 1–2 staff.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assisting with set-up and tear-down
- Engaging with attendees and supporting activities
- Helping maintain a welcoming and organized environment
The Family & Youth Zone officially opens at 11:00 AM, but Capital City Pride begins at 10:00 AM, so there may already be attendees nearby when your shift begins.
Parking & Logistics:
- Parking is available in the garage directly behind the Family & Youth Zone
- Loading and unloading can be done on E. Locust (for set up and tear down)
- Parking costs will be reimbursed with a receipt
